GETTING AROUND ToFrom the Airport
TONTOUTA AIRPORT
Tontouta international airport is 45km, or 45 minutes by car, northwest of Noumea. It is serviced by public and private buses and taxis.
The cheapest way of getting to and from the airport is by the blue and white Carsud bus. At Tontouta, these buses wait outside the arrivals hall, to the left as you exit the building or at the bus stop on the main road 500m from the terminal. In Noumea, they depart from the corner of rue George Clemenceau and rue de la République. The journey takes lYi hours each way. The oneway fare is 400CFP.
From Noumea, these buses run on average hourly on weekdays between 5.30am and 5.30pm. They are less frequent at the weekend. From Tontouta, they run roughly from 6am to 6pm.

MAGENTA AIRPORT
The domestic airport is at Magenta 5km east of the city centre. Blue-line Karuia buses and taxis run there.
